dnf at page 208 (48%) — even though the setting changes and time passes, it didn’t feel like the characters or plot were really going anywhere. it started to feel pretty stagnant and stopped holding my interest. i had a lot of hope for this book after young mungo, but maybe i’ll try it again another time.
