I wasn't sure what to expect with this book initially. It's not quite a crime fiction and not quite a thriller. The suspense is gradual but I liked it that way as it felt more real. I have questions on some of the details that I didn't think were quite wrapped up. I felt a disconnect between the beginning in the end. The story was great but it seemed to shift focus. I loved this story. It started out slow and quiet but by the end, I didn't want to put it down. It left parts open ended. It makes me think of that feeling when you have lifelong friends and you want to know how you all end up. This had me thinking about what happened still after finishing the story. The characters are great and the story is pleasant. If there was a sequel, I would read it. It's classic people.
