taking me 5ever to finish but this is a delight

i wish salinger had told anyone literally ANYTHING about what/who he was reading because i would kill to know his thoughts on this one

hell yeah @ the first chapter about iraq. like holy moly (most biased “holy moly” of all time)

already a 5-star read within the first 10 pages.

i hate when british people write about My Thing because i’ve limited myself to the US of A

assad zaman really transforms this reading experience. holy moly. can’t wait till they trim all the fat from the story and give him the Good Stuff in s4

“‘there is no horror in this world that is without final redemption’” — dialogue that i KNOW the iwtv writers’ room consulted in their formulation of armand

back here again

“love. he shook his head. perhaps only those who had given up the world had the right to use that word” my stomach hurts

allie already knows this but i am GAGGED rn

i deserve an award for powering thru this

i desperately need john to pick a struggle. are you going to fumble thru degrading after degrading sex scene, OR are you going to write dog water prose where “seawater” and “tears” and “salt” (verb) appear across 2 sequential sentences. i’d prefer the latter but the point still stands.

“if you have the guts to be yourself, other people’ll pay your price” another evil holden caulfield

remembered how to read after my impromptu hiatus and what the fuck AM i reading rn lmfao

“you play with me, and i am the toy which feels all things.” AMADEO GET BEHIND ME.

i'm back here again. "i carry time now" amadeo get behind me.

“it echoes like an echo chamber” oh i’m sure it does.

i predict that i'll hate this but, regardless of the outcome, i can't wait to experience the derivative-of-salinger of it all >:)

here i was, hoping this wouldn’t turn out to be neoliberal scum despite the dedication to george kennan at the start lol
