I've never read anything by Maeve Binchy before as the covers have always put me off! But, in the spirit of not judging books by the covers I thought I should give one a go, and as my mum has a few of her books, I borrowed this one at random. By page 4 I was already getting annoyed by the way she described the too perfect characters. Still, I shall persevere...
