This is creepy. *shivers*

I’m almost halfway through and what started as a delightful story is starting to bore me…

I like the FMC. But the MMC is about as exciting as cardboard…

A heart-racing thriller? Not so far…

I’ve read a few of Kathy Reichs’ books over the years and always enjoyed them (the Temperance Brennen series). So far this novel is ok, but pales in comparison to her previous books.

This book is a slog… the end cannot come soon enough.

So far I can zone out for a few pages and still not have missed anything so…

This book is enchanting. At first I was sucked right in, then I wasn’t sure that I liked the way the MMC was narrating his story TO Una Everlasting. But I kept going and it became magic. And then the betrayal hits and I thought the story was about to end (I’m listening to the audiobook) and I was devastated. But then I realized I was only on chapter 9 so what was going on?

This book is gritty and complicated. And I’m here for it.

Actually, now I remember…

I’m 4 hours into the audiobook. Apparently I read this in 2023… I remember nothing.

I think this book will be hangover worthy. It’s almost over and I’m sad about that.

Ok. I do not understand the attraction between the FMC and her captain. Where’s the chemistry?

Well, well, well, if it isn’t the consequences of the FMC idiocy.

I don’t think I will ever be able to forgive this author for what just happened.

The found family in this book is *chef’s kiss*.

There is a lot of unbelievable stuff happening in this book… and not in a good way. I would say more, but spoilers.
