This is the kind of book that upends all your thinking about history ... even if you're a radical, like me. Maybe especially if you're a radical like me. Federici refers to the witch-hunts as the terror campaign that Europe has never issued a public apology for. This book has got me thinking.

The Dandelion Insurrection group on Facebook is really having some great discussions! Wonderful posts on "real-life" Dandelion Insurrection stories, personal moments of courage, and favorite parts of the book. I love it!

After writing my new novel, The Dandelion Insurrection, I decided to return to some of the fascinating literature I found while researching nonviolent struggle. Self Liberation contains a recommended reading list ... and I'm working my way through it.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm treating myself to a Gene Sharp obsessions. The Self Liberation book has a recommended reading list of excerpts from all these other books. I'm working my way through methodically. This is in honor of my new novel, The Dandelion Insurrection.

If I hadn't borrowed the book from the library, I would have turned down the many, many pages that contained eerily relevant passages to today's world. I'll write an in-depth article on this and post it on my blog. www.risingsundancetheater�/wpblog

After watching the 1940's John Ford film last night, I'm re-reading this masterpiece. I was left with shivers and chills ... not to mention many memories of watching the live stage version. I love rereading my favorite books and Steinbeck is amazing.
