This book was an incredibly difficult read: not a bad one, just a hard one.
It talks about the anger, fear, and disappointment of watching everything around you crash and burn: but you’re just one weak person. It’s not a fun feeling to sit with, there are times when the narrator is a cruel bastard and everyone is unreliable, but there are some very fun moments and overall, a very solid book

T. Kingfisher’s stories have been really helpful in getting over my fear of bugs, the way she describes them in this story is scientific and beautiful in the same fashion that “House with Good Bones” had done.
