The first half of the book has really been setting up backstory of the characters and their neighborhood. I haven't found anything mysterious yet in the reading at all. So far a good general story.

I've gone a few more pages, but will not be finishing. I found no enjoyment in reading this book; it became almost a chore.

Dannie is 18% done with Where'd You Go, Bernadette

I'm intrigued to keep listening to understand what is going on with Bernadette, but I would suggest it not be listened to. I have the audiobook and the beginning is so busy that I feel a bit lost. And the writing style with emails is not helping. I wish I had access to a hard copy.

Dannie is 15% done with The Serpent and the Eagle (Tenochtitlan Trilogy)

Heading into chapter 6 and enjoying what I'm reading. Historical fiction is a bit outside of mysteries, but what drives me to finish is understanding the relationship between the two civilizations. We are getting into that in the next chapter, so we shall see.

I have found that I'm just not into this book yet. I have listened to a bit and ready to put Still Lives aside and maybe pick it back up at a later date.
