It has gotten better, overall. Chanuran has moved past the cardboard villain caricature he had seemed to be at the beginning. The politics, disagreements and overall plot has gotten thicker. I wish the argument between Yuyudhana and Govinda had been handled better. It was a sheer mess. Yuyudhana too, btw, has revealed himself to be more than he seemed (to Govinda).

The extras are *heart-eyes*. Damian is *smirks*. Well, well.

I am...simply speechless. Had I not read IA before, I would have thought the ending something of an anticlimactic event, but knowing and getting the subtext as I do— damn, 'tis all good stuff barreling towards us (bad stuff for Julie, but eh, that's when we see the best of her, as with every other protagonist). Waiting breathlessly for the next instalment that's to come, for Moloch is relentless, and so are KD fans.

Also, can I just say that I'm internally screaming through all the developments?

Julie is epic and I laugh in the face of all those who were whining about her. She's as arrogant as she deserves to be, and her voice is goddamned refreshing as hell.
Did I mention her and Derek give me The Feels? I'm not done and I'm already getting the bookdrawal. Aurelia Ryder #2, I'm anticipating you even more than Iron Covenant #2 and every KD fan knows exactly what that means.

Very intrigued to read on! Loving Govinda! Not very pleased with the depiction of Yuyudhana as him being older than Govinda (?) which is canonically unlikely, as well as with the entire "nobility versus gwalas" thing that happens during his introduction. I agree that Govinda would see it that way, absolutely. But this particular issue right here, with Satyaki as the opposing side, felt too forced to me.
