I have been looking for a friend group just like this all my life

I am thoroughly enjoying reading through this man's psyche, as unique as it is. I have never seen humans in the way they have been broken down and depicted here, and I don't think after this book I will ever take scent and olfactory responses for granted again.

I'm also loving the slow-build that this novel is taking on. I feel for some they might easily lose interest, but I am captivated by these experiences.

Reading Shirley Jackson always feels so comfortable

Finished "Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke"; absolutely adored it. I yapped my boyfriend's ear off about it after finishing. I love the allegories hidden within even seemingly unimportant dialogue between the two characters. I will be thinking about the story and modern apologues for days.

Murakami's works feel like mysteries to be solved, puzzles to be pieced together but the pieces are in a labyrinth demanding a scavenger hunt. However, much like quantum physics, it feels as though the moment you solve the mystery is the same moment you have misunderstood the entire point.

Most lines must be read two or three times, yet the script is written almost scientifically, dripping with candor.
