I loved the other two books I’ve read by this author but this one has definitely been my least favorite so far. The writing, plot, characters all seem less developed. I actually thought while reading this “I bet this is one of his earlier books” and I was right. I’ll finish it, but I would easily recommend one of his other books before this one so far.

I’m not pregnant, just reading for my doula training.

This is pretty bad already but I’m gonna finish it because it’s somewhat entertaining / seems like a quick read.

Just started it today but it’s a page turner!!! Love the book within a book format. I had been reading a lot of mediocre thrillers for awhile so this is fun (if dark)

Disclaimer that I’m not pregnant! Just curious about the science behind it for someday in the future / I like this author

This is dumb but I’ve already spent 4.5 hours on it so I’m trying to push through because I don’t like not finishing books I start.

Loving this. You know when you keep finding ways to keep reading even though you have other things to do? That’s me with this one currently.

Normally I don’t post these progress updates but I just have to say the audio of this is incredible — so fun and so well done! I keep finding excuses to keep listening
