I think a lot of these images don’t mean much to anyone except for Patti Smith. She seems to find everything in her life very moving, which feels to me like an exhausting way to live. It reads as performative (“thinking of McQueen, the Mozart of cloth”— seriously???) It’s also very odd to me that not all of the photos are Smith’s own work. It’s a shame because most of her originals are quite beautiful.
