this is so good. just found a new iconic woman writer... joan didion reported on what happened in the 60s and 70s but cookie LIVED every second of it

the introduction by olivia laing is so well-written already i'm like damn wait i'm excited for this to rly start now... the power of an intro from
another writer that's actually good & adds to the work instead of being pointless/stupid flowery praise that u just wanna skip over

i have like 10 pages of this left but can't finish it today cuz i have a headache & feel overwhelmed... very joan didion of me 👍

fun to read the play as it was written when u know the character intros before and then the victorian language is just fun and sassy and poetic like wait i get the vibe... real
