First story was great with some Final Destination vibes

I don't pretend to know enough about Go Nagai's body of work to be familiar with how his quality fluctuates, but I have read Devilman, and this looks significantly sloppier than Devilman that came out the year before.

Of the three main storylines:

Simon & Baz - 5/5
It's pretty much everything I could ask for, especially after the rough ride that was Wayward Son

Agatha & Niamh - 4/5
An enjoyable side plot with lesbian energy.

Penelope & Shepard - 2/5
There's some interesting bits, but Shepard still feels like such a 2D Gary-stu...and he makes Penelope less interesting by proxy.
