This book is channeling my general feeling about the state of the US painfully accurately. If it wasn’t for the funny presentation of examples of codified bigotry it would be too depressing to read. Fortunately the author also shows how simplifying the bill of rights down to its basic meaning and not the dumbass originalist bastardization currently perpetrated by conservatives could be the way out of this mess.
