I mean Sal's kind of an ass. I wonder if I'd think Holden was an ass, if I reread that one today.

This book is very poignant for today's environment. Just finished 2x2. One of my favorites in this anthology. Highly recommend this book.

Still reading this never-ending book. But I just realized today that the Pomeranian in the most recent film adaptation of IT, is a stand-in for the werewolf that Richie sees throughout the novel. I love that!.

Every chapter in this book not only discussed a band, but a small, independent record company starting out. A lot of times they have to call the mom and pop record stores to fill their orders. I would love to read a history of those mom and pop record stores, at least in the midwest.

I cannot stand either one of the main characters. Like listening to Elon Musk and JK Rowling in the early days of dating. Who would give a shit? Not me. Continuing only to see what other ridiculousness is in store. But it's also a bit like pulling teeth

Whenever I hear comedians talk about that connection they get performing a sketch and bouncing ideas off of another person to the point that it gels into a perfect rhythm of symmetry, that's always how I feel when I am in a very good groove or jam with my band. It's been commented on a thousand times before, but comedy and music are very similar in performance.

Also, this book is great. You should read it.

I am really enjoying that this is a near-future science fiction book written prior to the effects of the war on drugs.

Not going to lie. Just finished the chapter where two characters complain about being rich. Very tempted to just turn the book off at this point.

It saddens me how much this reminds me of what is happening today. In politics. We are repeating McCarthyism. I feel like we will be reading a book like this in 70 years about the Trump administration.
