What if Dragon Ball Z was a super serious sci-fi fantasy adventure? I mean maybe it is but this book is if that show was presented with that tone.

I knew the boiled down thesis of this book, "does it spark joy?", but I was totally unprepared to learn a new way to fold socks. It blew my mind a little bit.

Still reading this never-ending book. But I just realized today that the Pomeranian in the most recent film adaptation of IT, is a stand-in for the werewolf that Richie sees throughout the novel. I love that!.

Every chapter in this book not only discussed a band, but a small, independent record company starting out. A lot of times they have to call the mom and pop record stores to fill their orders. I would love to read a history of those mom and pop record stores, at least in the midwest.

Whenever I hear comedians talk about that connection they get performing a sketch and bouncing ideas off of another person to the point that it gels into a perfect rhythm of symmetry, that's always how I feel when I am in a very good groove or jam with my band. It's been commented on a thousand times before, but comedy and music are very similar in performance.

Also, this book is great. You should read it.

I am really enjoying that this is a near-future science fiction book written prior to the effects of the war on drugs.

It saddens me how much this reminds me of what is happening today. In politics. We are repeating McCarthyism. I feel like we will be reading a book like this in 70 years about the Trump administration.

Something that I have noticed recently while reading, is the use of the word "lighted". Shouldn't it be "lit"? I can honestly say I've never seen the word lit in print since I notice this trend. And it's not just in the classics, like this book.
