There are books that make you feel like a voyeur as you read, you see so deep into the character's soul that you feel like your invading their privacy. This is one of those books for me. I don't want to keep reading this book, it's too raw and I know where it is heading and I don't want to go there with her, but I feel compelled to.

Debbie is on page 25 of 301 of Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls

As an educator and a parent I am amazed at what I'm reading and how much of it is clicking and making sense. My daughter has been having trouble with a few girls in her class and as I read this book I keep thinking oh my God it's Holly!! It's as if Simmons talked with my daughter, right down to the exact phrases that her teacher's claim. It really makes me wonder how blind I have been over the years.
