I have a hunch that this book missed its target audience, but hello, it's me 👋🏼

The most captivating book I have read in a while ;o

The concept is cute, but the story-telling is... almost too verbal. The characters are overexplained. Their internal monologues are too similar and their dynamics too explicit.

It's got an interesting premise, but the narrator leaves little to ponder. All of the MC's thoughts are laid out explicitly and his thoughts are very black and white, even though the premise is nothing but.

So far, a Victorian literature nerd's fantasy, if you have the sense of humor that can stomach wild and irresponsible crossover and self-referential humor (my favorite). Definitely not for everyone, but I have not consumed a book that has me brimming with delight from the first few chapters in a long while!
