I’ve got a lottttt of thoughts on this book lol. Overall, I liked the characters and the premise but there was way too much graphic rape and torture. I get the author probably was going for shock value? But it added nothing. “Show don’t tell” isn’t that like the first rule of writing? She should have alluded to the horrors through the characters reactions, rather than typing out pages of torture porn.
