Adept description of agoraphobia and an interesting reading experience. Ending was a little abrupt and predictable, but the ending isn't all that important when the journey is so profound.

I can see why it's out of print and hard to find. It's dangerous.

Gretchen the German, disobeys early and says, "We have seen enough pain." She refuses after 220 volts.

Human behavior is fascinating to me.

I have never written "JFC" in the margins of a book before, until today.

I love this guy.

At the end of the first chapter there's a friendly warning, and the author reminds us that the book will still be here when you're ready, but if you're experiencing a tragedy, or rawness of life right now, this might not be the book for you at this given time. Challenge accepted.

I've underlined things in this book. I haven't done that in a long time. Parts of it are brilliant. Like a two sided coin though parts of it have been drudgery to read.

This book makes me want to delete my goodreads page.
