Stella confronts Ivan about him actually going to Canada and he admits it to her that he did go and see her. And they talked about it, and everything between the is okay now and Stellas getting over things about the girl.

Stella calls Ivans mother to ask her about the girl that he used to be with. She finds out that she moved to Canada and Ivan was really upset. So he went to see her in Canada but she has already found someone else. So he didn't actually forge his passport to Canada.

I read for 2 hours. Whats happened since last time, is that Stella is trying to find out more about Ivan's previous love. She found out that her name starts with an S. And that after high school she moved to Canada. Stella is concerrened because Ivan has a passport that says he went to Canada, but then Ivan had told Stella that he hadn't seen her in 20 years. So he was lying.
