st john is quite possibly the worst character i've read i HATE him i HATE HIM

i really dont like rochester

rochester and jane's relationship feels so weird to me

rochester needs to stop calling his love interest his "little friend"

i really don't want to like the "romance" in this but our late thirties love interest was kind of cute in this chapter...maybe it won't be weird in future chapters there has got to be a reason so many people like this book

rochester going on about how jane is the perfect person to tell secrets to and also how inexperienced in life she is (because she's only 18) is wild i get times were different back then but cmon this is NOT romance

these are all really sad but so amazingly written
