This took me a very long time to read because of my bad reading habits. Every time I returned to ‘The Priory of the Orange Tree’ I was deeply invested in the plot and the magical universe.
This does not feel like an 800 page book, as the chapters often shifts between the various interesting characters.
It felt like a mixture of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’. That is a compliment!
