So... I think I hate this? Brendan (the LOVE interest) is just another misogynist who cannot seem to fathom a woman being more complex than how she looks?? He doesn't appear to show any real remorse for his asshole behavior until AFTER he learns more about Piper. He sees her Instagram and is like "wait she sexy?? But yesterday we have conversation?? Whch is the REAL Piper?" Like BRO human women are MULTIFACETED.

Am I dragging out reading this book so that I maybe never finish it? Maybe a little. It's just so wonderful and makes me so happy! I don't want it to end!

A full-grown person POUTING and running away from his JOB when he's fucked up multiple times and got yelled at for it. I can't. If you want me to feel anything for this character I need backstory for why they act like a child who hasn't worked a day in their life.

I am beginning to like the MC more, but his friends still kinda piss me off and I'm still not finding myself invested in the story (saving the drive-in or the Alice character's old movie). And I am still on the fence about the LI, but I think I like him?

his friends are kind of assholes... how hard is it to respect your friend's choice? Teasing between friends is one thing, but /continually/ ragging on him, judging him, and SHARING his business with random people(???!!???) because he wants his first kiss to be with someone important to him? I can't. I hate starting a book angry, but maybe Wren doesn't need a boyfriend, maybe he just needs better friends.
