God this book is good

Lucia Berlin is a genius. It’s the type of writing that puts you right into the setting. You smell and hear and feel everything. It’s very nostalgic, even when she’s talking about things you haven’t experienced.

Coming back to this book cause I abandoned it rip

I don’t want this book to ever end

Every character is completely unlikable yet I keep getting drawn into their perspective it’s so interesting. Also the first major death was insane

Started it today. I really like the writing style and I’m excited to get further into the plot. I’ve seen the show for this book and it’s incredible I highly recommend

Off to a good start I am very very intrigued
