Honestly, I’m bored af and I’ve been bored for quite a while now. I love the premise of this story- so interesting! However, between the slow pace and meandering plot with little progression, I’m not sure if I can get to the finish line.

Did I miss the aha> moment when Jovie realizes he’s watching her in her dreams?? Or is she just doing the same and they both already know 🧐

This has taken me forever to finish. I like the story and the prose is so interesting and well written, but the pace is painfully slowww.

There’s still not much to the plot here but I’m thoroughly grossed out and maybe that’s the point- despite all of the character’s introspection, it doesn’t always translate to substance.

This is such an interesting read so far! I feel so bad for our FMC’s childhood and want to slap her mama, but this is a very fun & gory read so far.

It's hard to get through Malina's chapters and I'm shocked that there are still two books to go in this series...

Also listening to the audiobook and that’s helped get me past the slow start. Really enjoying the storyline so far- it’s a bit of a unique magic system and super interesting. Not nearly as hard to follow as it seemed it may be in the beginning.
