Can’t finish. It’s for booklcub and so I want to, but… I cannot!!!!

Dnf - couldn’t get into this one. Alas.

After my last update it picked up! Funny how that goes…

So I’m about 1/3 the way through and really struggling with this book. It’s just not keeping my attention and I find myself bored. Anyone else?

So far reads a bit like a John Grisham - making me think of The Pelican Brief, and is enjoyable as far as an easy page turner. Thought I’d give the venerable Abrams another shot since the first fiction book of hers I read was truly terrible. 😂

I just can’t get into this, or care for any of the characters. Going on the unfinished list.

Starting yet another book as nothing I’ve started in the past two weeks has grabbed me. Which is frustrating!

Made the mistake of starting this last night around 11:30 pm. "I'll just read a few pages..." Found myself reading until 1:15am. Oops.

Loving this and super absorbed and of course, the library recalls it because my time expired! Have to start something else while I wait to get it back.....

Finally got this back from the library so I can finish it! And it's as riveting as I remember reading the earlier pages.

I enjoyed the previous books in this series but this is one I can't finish. It's that bad.

Library recalled the book (ebook) before I could finish. Was about 3/4 through, and while I'm disappointed I haven't finished, I'm not despondent. I didn't love it, but was tolerating it to get to book two which I heard is great. We shall see.... I was just starting to be interested in the characters though. That it took me this long to care is interesting for me- I wouldn't normally stick with such a novel.
