honestly, this would mit have been my type of book, but mitchell is such a profound writer, that I am so deeply involved with the characters, that I don't want it to end anytime soon...

The beginning was sluggish, but the adventure grows on me more and more. Back with V

this book is amazing!!!

I must say, that the first third of this book is amazing. Love the characters, love the world building and the subtle fantasy elements. But for a while now, it got rather boring. So much military campaigning, so much diplomacy, so much forced exposition. I hope it will pick itself back up.

a lot of times Lui mixes up (real) past occurrences to feed his narrative, that I just want to believe everything that is fiction about his fantasies.
(and some characters from former parts of the book still linger in the back of my mind)

interesting read, but having a hard time really investing in the story and its character(s)

"The Literomancer" was already such a heartfelt short, but now I just finished "Simulacrum" and though it went right into the story and was over too soon, I felt so involved with the characters, their relation to each other and was left in an actual sad state. Such a well prosed story.

there was some drought after the first third, but the adventure took an interesting turn full of great new friends and I am looking forward to more scheming

either Masamune was ahead of his time or our present didn't advance very far when it comes to robot ethics and AI morality

amazing how this story is written so differently to Kvothe's story (or Basts) and fits all so perfectly. i glimpse into a very precious mind - everything is right how it's used to be...

one of the toughest reads I ever encountered - I need vacation and a very very clear mind to keep my focus on whatever digressions Tristam comes up next.

I am at the point where the book seems to loose its degree of weirdness.what started out as quirk tellings of a quirky reality gets more and more 'normal'. This either be the fact that I am getting used to Night Vale or the fact, that the author(s) need to get the plot along.

Another thing I did was interweaving the podcast: every other chapter would I listen to an episode of the radio show - which is superb.

Yenn's exhaustive descriptions of the realm's religions is dragging it a bit, but the beastiary will soon follow
