Feel like this and Dragon Keeper should’ve been one long book because this is excellent so far! Loving how there are so many POV’s but they’re all in the same place- quite unusual in my experience.

Having a good time with this! I agree it’s not quite as incredible as Hobb’s other books, but it’s fun and interesting and a fast moving storyline. Think I needed a bit of downtime after The Dispossessed anyway!

Excited and nervous for this one! Really excited to get back to Hobb after the incredible Tawny Man trilogy, but have seen people (and heard rumours that Hobb herself?) think this quartet is lacking some of the usual ROTE magic.

Something light and breezy after the Dune philosophy lesson

Dare I say this so far feels like The Devils but far better?

Was making a list of quotes but had to stop after chapter 2 because the list got so long.

If I have to read another 20 page battle sequence where our “rag rag” (highly capable and used to working as a team) band of “miscreants” (constantly shown to have more morals than any other characters and haven’t really done anything wrong) miraculously come out on top, I might dnf this book.

Never has a book felt so much like home before. This opening act was gorgeous
