You know feeling when a book is starting off slow, but somehow you just know it is going to be great / break your heart in a good way? Yeah. That.

Only a short way in. Just seriously such beautiful writing. Pretty sure this is gonna be a single sitting read for me...

Writing is excellent, but story is hard to follow. Written in the style of A Thousand Ships, but I was expecting The Children of Jocasta. Still holding out hope.

I love this little dystopian Sci Fi world and its gender-unknown protagonist. Hope there will be more!

Burns -- yuck...

Up to WWII poets / poetry. Obviously pretty bleak. Book is extremely academic and pretty technical. Definitely best in small doses.

Martial rape was not illegal in all 50 states until 1993. Like most books on narrow topics, I often feel like the books should just be shorter. I feel like they would get read by a wider audience. This one is no exception.

Storms. This one did not land for me. A touch of the supernatural along with mental illness is one of my least favorite tropes.

First two stories have a very Kiss Kiss vibe. Not hating it. But very different from what I have come to expect from Keegan.
