I’ll always be reading this book.

I put this book down (virtually) and didn’t think about it until I opened this app. The story-with-the-story didn’t grab me. I’ll return this to kindle unlimited.

I’ve missed the characters from Gilman’s world, so I’m reading slowly so I don’t get through the stories too soon.

Intriguing & thought-provoking.

I'm enjoying the story this far. Started reading this morning, and am afraid I might be staying up tonight to finish.

This is the first of the series that I've read as an actual, printed-on-paper book, which makes for a different experience. (For one, if I decide to stay up to read, I'll need to make sure my rarely-used book light is charged!)

I just finished Harmony Black (Harmony Black Series Book 1).

Uh oh. I was away most of the week, and really ought to be paying attention to the other members of this family... but I can't stop reading!!!

One of many beautiful and haunting lines: "I already feel trapped by my own disappointment" (Four).

Uh oh. Main character just referred to a random guy who showed up in the girls' bathroom (while she was throwing up) as having an amazingly sexy voice, "even in the context of a barf-filled bathroom."

Tiny bit afraid of the set-up (teen love triangle?), but willing to take the plunge, since it's a library download.

I put this "book" down, and haven't thought much about the characters or story since then. I will finish it, but mostly because I feel like I *should*--not because I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm not captivated. When I put the "book" down (reading via iPad), I don't wonder about the characters. Ho hum.

Hmmm. I'm not sure I'm going to finish this book. The writing is strong, but...it's all just so clever. I don't particularly like the main character, and while I do think some of the tech-stuff is cool, it all feels like the author wants me to know how clever he is. (He is quite clever, clearly.) The bookstore itself intrigues me, but not enough to get me past the narrator.

I want to like this book. I want to like this book. I want... I'll need to revisit this "review" when /if I finish reading, to see if I am just being grouchy.

This book promises to be another diverting "Calgon, take me away" book from Heyer. Just what I need today!

Just started the chapter in which a Sikh character references Allah. Given the shooting in Wisconsin over the weekend, perhaps I'm sensitive to the notion that Sikhs are Muslim. They're not. Although I'm usually willing to suspend disbelief while reading UF, this comment makes me wonder what else might be "off" in the series...

The premise intrigues me thus far, and is no more far-fetched than other urban fantasy novels I've read. I am willing to stay in this world, with this narrator, who -- thankfully -- doesn't sound like so many other Bufftastic paranormal protagonists. Don't get me wrong: I love Buffy, but it's nice to meet a new voice, even if said voice is distinctly-not-British. Accent (or lack thereof) aside, I'm in.

Um. I need to talk to someone--who has already read this book, or is at least as far along as I am--ASAP!

I am not sure I want to read any further in this book. It's disturbing on so many levels. And yet, I can't seem to look away...

I wasn't sure wanted to read this book (somewhat sad / creepy premise), so I checked it out of the library. The story begins on the main characters' anniversary date, which is the same as ours. Let's hope that's the only similarity!

Still waiting for the story to grab me. I'm not sure about the "summoning" yet; maybe I prefer my UF books to be more about the character discovering her/his own innate power than those in which characters draw on external powers. Not sure yet. (It's also weird to share a name with the main character.)

I don't want to stop reading, but I have an appointment. Quick update: I always liked Kaleb. Now I love him.
