I have enjoyed what I have read so far in this book, it is definitely an eye opener. The author has wrote about different tactics that the enemy will attempt to get us following his ways, he is the liar, the tempter and so on. I would recommend this book to go along with your spiritual walk.

So far we have read about a male who was living as a gay, who was transformed by the love of Christ, and about a female who was seeking the attention of all her male classmates. These two are now serving the Lord in all that they do. AMEN!!

This brings me into chapter three, where they are talking about a girl named Christina and comparing Egypt and Israel. This book has some great nuggets that I have been able to takeaway.

Peter was baptized new in Christ, however his past crimes had a hold still on him, since he had a warrant out for his arrest from something prior to surrendering to Christ he was arrested as he was still wet from being submerged into water.

Is there much similarity between the way the Pharaoh was and the way this world is today? Pharoah wanted to strike fear into the hearts of the people and keep them busy so they would have no time or energy to entertain ideas about deliverance. This could be the way America and the leaders are aiming for, they keep us busy needing to work in order to pay all these bills and to be able to eat.

In these last pages that I read, it discusses a guy named Peter who had been in and out of jail six times in only two years, most of his family disowned him. He ended up homeless and sleeping outdoors, one night little did he know, the doorway he slept in was a Christian mission that provides breakfast, he learned that this shelter had a program to help with addictions, he joined. This was God lining it up!!

This devotional book has been one of my favorites so far, mixing baseball (a game that I love) with God's Word (A Father that I love) has been an awesome mix.

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega!! He is the beginning and the end!!

This brings the reading into Hebrews chapter 6.

This is only the introduction of the book so far. I love how the author points out the fact that the Bible is written about Jesus and not us.

Read this for a class that I was taking, overall it was a decent book there were some learning nuggets in it.

This is almost halfway through the book of John. Powerful Scripture as we read about the adulteress who was brought in front of Jesus by the men of the area, Jesus draws a line and says to them, anyone without sin shall throw the first rock and everyone scattered, knowing they are not sinless.

This will lead us to the book Micah and through the book of Jonah.

Great book to read, I would recommend this to other readers out there.

Bernie has had a Relapse, but he also met his next wife who helped him build his relationship with God. She was no nonsense type.

In the pages leading up to this one, Bernie has wanted to commit suicide, he received phone calls to interrupt his plans, with God's timing, he went to a rehab facility and then met a man next to him in the hospital, he received his first bible and lessons about Jesus. Then as he returned to the facility with all the drugs out of his system God allowed his darkness to leave him.

These pages talk about the world series between the Reds and the Red Sox, Bernie homered in game 6 and the Sox lost the series in seven. Bernie is talking about being grateful and not being envious of others. Galatians 5:26 tells us we must not be proud. We must not make trouble with each other. And we must not be jealous of each other.

Bernie Carbo has just began playing for the Boston Red Sox, this is where some of his darkest days occurred. He was a great player with mediocre statistics due to his bad habits aka addictions. He has won a rookie of the year award, he has played in world series up to this point, he has also started messing with a new demon, adultery to add to the substance abuse.

The reading of these pages helped hear about Bernies struggles while playing in his rookie season, he was introduced to pills, and smoking Marijuana and drinking now. He needed to repent and turn back to God, he didn't even know Jesus.

At this part of the book, Bernie was drafted and played some minor league baseball, he started drinking with the older guys who influenced him. His girlfriend broke up with him while he was away. We need to have good influences in our lives.

This has brought me halfway through the book of Daniel. We have read about the three boys Shadrach, Meschech and Abendego, the Lord was with them in the fire and protected them because they seek only Him and keep their faith in Him. We have read about Daniel being thrown into the lions den because he was caught praying to our Living God. God protected him while in there with the Lions, HE SHUT THE MOUTH OF LIONS.

This book is awesome, I love Baseball and God so when you combine the two, you get this incredible book which has been a great tool. I read two stories at a time to my son.

The continuing reading about Hall of Famers and Christ is such a blessing. My salvation wouldn't suffice without Christ!

He began to drink when he was 16, his mom gave him the money to purchase beer and he worked at a liquor store. His dad never explained anything to him, he just punched him for drinking and now Bernie knew he would have to hide it better next time in order to not get caught.

This book discusses the life of a ball player, starting from when he was a child with his abusive situation at home. Eventually he would begin to lie and cheat to fit in and feel like he wasn't a "dummy." This would lead to a life of destruction with drugs and alcohol even during his playing days.

Loved this book, each of us have Resurrection power within us, God isn't finished with us yet!!

If you were under the impression that God only uses perfect people then you may not have been paying attention or reading the Bible. There has only been one perfect person used, that was Jesus!! When we face failure in life, we can choose between either remorse (deep regret for a wrong committed) or repentance (turn from ungodly ways towards God).

This is the beginning chapters of the book of Jeremiah. Still in the Old Testament. Jeremiah was a prophet or known as a Seer; this is one who sees with Spiritual eyes.

God didn't make us to be warrior's so that we'd be perfect; he made us to be warrior's so that we'd fight our fears, learn from our mistakes, and live to fight another day.
