Why am I still reading this? I wanted to see how it played out... the prose and physical writing is good but the twins are awful, the romance doesn’t exist and Valentine deserves better.

Ans while i know its fiction and over look little things... I'm also autistic with a history degree and the lack of typical society rule following and appropriate terms and even politics of the era being displayed is doing my head in.

Eh.... i like the banter they're very funny with the dramatic/blunt sarcasm but I'm agreeing with the 1star complaints so far. Why are they so mean to Valentine, he's very polite and hasn't done anything wrong. I was thinking he was going to be rude or a rake but he's not he's just a guy trying to do what is expected of a Duke and he's met with insults. The reason for the whole plot set up kind of annoys me

What does everyone else do when they have a big TBR of ebooks and paperbacks but never know what to read next?
Debating if I just put it all on one of those spin wheels and let that pick for me, If I make myself finish the series I've started in order till they're all done, or scroll my list till something catches my interest.... how do you pick what to read next aaaaaaaaaa

First time reading along with an audio book... don't mind it but I read faster than the speakers and can't concentrate on the story if I do something other than read along with it and the guy who does Farrons chapters has a habit of changing some words or sentences for some reason that's annoying plus his accent attempts is... something...
Story is good tho just different to how I usually enjoy my reading

OK I'm surprised I like this. Not a big josh lanyon fan from the ones I've previously read but the mystery and characters have been engaging. This has been sitting in my shelf since February decided I'd knock it over quickly and honestly I've enjoyed it... I probably won't read the next books for a while but will finish this series I think 🤔
