Keach quoting Chauncey on church discipline in the case of gross sin calls for immediate excommunication even in the case of initial repentance. Fascinating. Such a helpful historical tract on elder-led Congregationalism.

Phenomenal.

Clear, concise, and simple. This is a great book to give to evangelicals who have a high view of scripture, but are looking for more theological and hsitorcal depth. Awesome introduction to all the creeds and confessions.

This book would’ve been a huge help to me coming out of fundamentalism.

The reformation in Zurich. Zwingli’s influence is incalculable on Protestant belief - especially the regulative principal of worship and the lectio continuum (preaching verse by verse through the Bible). What a stud.
