I want the river to take me where it will. I don’t want goals and finish lines and podiums and faster boats. I don’t want to get there quicker, or with more money. I don’t want to know where I’m going. Let the river take me to whatever sea it wishes; let the current be I need to know.

4.5 stars. This was a whole lot of fun. Brilliant world building and character development. Won’t change anyone’s life but it was entertaining.

The wallpaper is bleached if it’s colour and looks as if it remains on the wall out of habit more than anything else; one good tug, however, and I imagine the sheets would fall away without complaint.
