Just finished Daniel Kehlmann’s giant novel TYLL. By far, my fave read of 2020. Normally I wouldn’t pick up a German fabulist, but this one is great from the get go. Even though it takes place in the 16th century, it is most relevant today. It’s Monty Pythonesque detailing of life during the plague, political upheaval, societal confusion and morons trying to run things will keep you in stitches.
