This is not good but I will finish it. There's a time and a place for mindless trash and this is it.

Wasn't sure about the ending of the first book and wasn't convinced I'd like the 'split into three across three worlds' things but very pleasantly surprised so far!

I'm doing a little Christmas themed reading this year. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

I don't know what I'm reading. Kind of reminds me of the world according to garp and I don't mean that as a compliment because I thought the world according to garp was weird. I think it's a style thing.

Apparently I read this in 2022 but I had a concussion a couple months prior and have zero recollection of this... so here we go for what might be the second time (I remain unconvinced).

Ivan is constantly apologizing and overtly embarrassed for simply engaging in normal conversation, and yet this woman in her mid-30s finds him attractive enough to sleep with him on multiple occasions? It boggles the mind.

Suzanne, you simply cannot say things like "lots of people live out their lives with exceptionally slow-growing or indolent cancers without ever knowing they existed" without including a reference.

This is my fourth Suzanne O'Sullivan book since discovering her in 2016. I do enjoy her controversial takes but I don't always agree... Looking forward to seeing what she's up to with this one!

This is well written but historical fiction isn't really my thing and I don't feel compelled to keep reading. I'm interested enough to finish it but am waiting on the ebook from my library so I can read in the dark!

Expected a page-turner but it's more of a miserable trudge through the decades. Not necessarily a bad thing but I wish I'd been more prepared because it's not quite what I was hoping for right now...

I’m loving this book and have thoroughly enjoyed reading it thus far. But I want to make a note that on pages 191-192 the author is misrepresenting and misinterpreting the research on false memories and what it means for the idea of repressed memory. Concerning.

Ok so either I'm now used the writing or it changed. I am loving the book now...phew!

This doesn't read like a Robin Hobb book. The characters are unrecognisable. Fitz is...different. He thinks, speaks, and acts in ways he didn't before. Perhaps the issues are so obvious to me because I read four Robin hobb books in a row this year, and have read a total of five. I just have a hard time believing she wrote this. The voice of this book is completely different. It's just plain odd.

It's day 13 of 2016 and I am yet to finish a single book. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!?
