I am really enjoying the book. However, as a nurse, I feel it is my responsibility to point out that a) doctors don’t take blood (even if they are residents). And b) residents don’t give any type of infusions, even if it is for a research study. I’m just saying.... nurses do such work. And are important. Lol. However the book is great so far, with only minus medical errors. ❤️😊

I'm really enjoying the book. Well, I suppose enjoying isn't the right word. It's very good. I agreed with whoever first said that it's the best book written about war. I think everyone who is close to someone who serves, well maybe everyone (especially in America), should read it. Just finished ch 8.

Hardships bring out the true character of people.

I have to say that were I Fanny, I probably would give in to peer pressure. I suppose that is why I am not an Austen heroine. Edmund has not endeared himself to me quite yet.

Restarted after I finished Udolpho. Have to say that it's fun getting all the novel references this time. :)

I feel like I'm missing something.

What's going to happen next?!

Finally figured out what happened to her aunt. But now I don't know who the "ghost" is. Is it the late lady of Udolpho? Another mysterious guest? Something else entirely? Enjoying it so far as I've now gotten used to the writing of Radcliffe.
