Yeah, I haven't updated on this app for a while since I'm mainly on fable, but my god, this book is so good, and a lot has happened. I will say that I'm at the part where Victor hugo is on a major slang language tangent lmao.

The writing style is a bit jarring, and it's throwing me off every once and awhile. Also, I get that this is set in pre ww2 and great depression in the south, but I don't like it when an author uses the word "n*gro."" It's actually really degrading.

I just love how each character is somehow related to each other. It's like a web that keeps spinning intricate details, and it's been fun to find these details. Modern writers should take note of this.

The fact that Chilchuck hates romance and sexual intimacy in his party just screams aro/ace to me because I'll be in the same boat too.

I love how when Laios flash backs to Kabru, he is winking and smiling at Laios with a small star. Bro literally thinks Kabru is into that lmao.

I stupidly started vol 8 thinking it was vol 7 because I was distracted by Kabru being on the cover. Lmao.
