i don’t wanna jinx it but this is shaping up to be my absolute favorite thriller ever, simply because the writing style is above average. I’m soooo used to cheap, badly written thrillers that i genuinely forgot reading a thriller doesn’t automatically mean settling for lackluster prose and shitty, flat characters. good thrillers exist i just have to look reeeeaaaalllyyyyy hard to find them

I was worried the apathy i felt for a good chunk of the book towards all the main characters was going to persist, but thankfully it didn’t. I’m starting to love them. the story is also finally picking up pace thank God. it took him long enough to get things going
