I hate to DNF but I am so close to not being able to get through this book. I know it’s a product of the time when the author lived and when it was written but oh my god the blatant racism and and casual mentioning of the cruel way Indigenous people were treated on a day to day basis is honestly so hard to get though.

This book is actually so good??! I did not appreciate enough when I read it in high school!
