This book so far reminds me of “The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime”. Mostly because of a similar tone in the narrator. I really enjoyed Haddon’s book. This one I am not sure yet. I am not drawn in yet but I also am not turned off. I don’t love the characters I have met so far. And the story is not grabbing me.

Pulled in very quickly as usual with Maisie Dobbs adventures. A very different beginning from the other books.

It is plodding along. The writing style is not my favorite.

Good to get the background on why a horse might be beneficial in the Korean War more specifically for help with the deoscilating rifles

I’m enjoying so far.
