Roland is pretty clever but he has bad luck. For example, when he, Connor and Risa flew in the Admiral to the public hospital he gave up Risa and Connor. By doing that he also gave up himself, however he thought he could give away the graveyard to set himself free but the juvey cops already knew about it so he set himself up.

Connor has changed for the better. Instead of using his gut and falling into traps he started to use common sense. For example, when Roland passed Connor and followed Risa into the bathroom and pinned her. Connor followed but while Risa was upset he didn't fight roland he told her, he passed me first knew i was following so he wouldn't do anything.

Growing up In a certain environment can change or give you skeptical views about races of people. For instance in the text it states " Hatred develops like a drug addiction. This shows that you don't always no what's right you follow people that you trust and they might no lead you in the right direction.

A theme in Getting the Girl is jealousy. Cameron was jealous of Ruben because he had a girlfriend and he really liked her. In the text it states "Octavia I thought. I wonder what story he would have about her in few weeks' time, when it was dead gone and thrown out. Her searching eyes, ruffles hair, and human legs and nice feet. This shows that Cameron really liked rubes girlfriend and whisked she was his. .

Both Rueben and Cameron are frisky and immature. In the book it states " it's Friday evening and we're watching wheel of fortune. It's rare for us to watch a lot of tv because we're usually fighting, doing something stupid in the backyard, or hanging around in the front"(189).

A theme in UNDERDOGS was cowardice. This theme was shown by Rueben and Cameron. Rube and Cameron always planned to rob places that brought in a lot of cash. " y' can't even hold up the dentist anymore. Sheet what's the world coming to" . This shows that Cameron and rube didn't have the courage to stick up the dentist and they didn't go through with their word.

Rube and Cameron's dad were very harsh on them because he felt that they were to immature and they need to change their ways. In the text it states " I have a father who constantly tells rube and me to wash ourselves because he reckons we look filthy and stink like jungle animals crawling out of the mud" (7).

To Ryan working with military equipment such as trucks cranes or loaders is extremely difficult. In the text Ryan states " most military junk is built so it kinds of runs okay, and then a sort of chair is just fastens on top of it all. The cat is so smoothe to operate opposed to the cruel rag doll tossing that goes on in the green loader.

In 1987 Ben had to face a very rough challenge. He had to separate Siamese twins that were connected from the head, and deal with the mother who went hysterical. In the text it states that "I wanted to kill them and myself as we'll" (191)

Ryan's high school seems pretty lame because the kids aren't themselves. For instance Ryan said " the kids at Columbia were wannabes" (3) all of the kids tried to be cool if they weren't and some kids tried not to be.

Ben had to go through people that didn't like him and people he didn't like to get to we're he wanted to be. For instance, one of his chief residents tommy didn't like him he would ignore Ben and just act rudely towards him. One time tommy threatened to have Ben kicked out of the neurosurgery department at John Hopkins. Once he took a breath Ben stated " are you finished." Tommy said yes. He didn't bother Ben again.

Ben was heartbroken at a young age when he was told that his father was leaving. Ben sobbed wanting to know why his father had to leave. He loved his father and thought he was important to have in his life.

I think that Robinson felt horrible after his dad gave up on him. "But I, who was born to be my own destroyer, could no more resist the offer than I could restrain my first rumblings design when my father' good counsel was lost upon me" (72). This is is why I think Robinson should of tool his fathers advice more seriously.

Tom is very clever when it comes to getting out of trouble. Tom had his aunt screaming for him but he was in a closet. Tom was up to no good so he was about to get a beating. Tom said "my look behind you aunt!" (3)Once she twirled around Tom fled and scaled a high board fence

Buck is such a strong and loyal dog. He never let his owner down even when he was in danger. For example, John Thornton Buck's owner needed money, so he had a bet with his friends on who could pull and walk off the most pounds. John bet half a ton and was offered 1600 dollars. Buck struggled to pull of but at the end he went pass 100 yards. Buck made John ecstatic and helped him pay off all his debt.

One theme showed throughout call of the wild is the law the club and fang. This law say don't intrude other people or dog's territory because you want to be friendly because they will kill you or seriously injur you. For instance, Curly was trying to be friendly with a dog the size of a wolf. But without a warning as she approached the dog she was attacked by the dog and had her face ripped off.

Manuel is a horrible person. "You might wrap up the goods before you deliver 'm," the stranger said gruffly, and Manuel doubled a piece of stout rope around Buck's neck under the collar.
