This was a bit of a random pick from the library but I found it to be an interesting memoir and Anna and the duck women fascinating. It wasn’t too exciting but an enjoyable listen.

This was a harrowing story of how addiction can impact families. I connected with Ruth but Lily seemed too perfect and forgiving of her mother to seem real.

PS I finished this a week ago and I couldn’t remember an ounce of the plot at all which made me knock half a star from my rating….

Such fun to re-read (probably two decades later!) the first book I remember reading / being read! Thanks to mummy Mel for book as a Christmas gift! <3

3.5 stars! I enjoyed the characters, humour, and the more touching moments in this. Though I did find there was a lot going on at times and a lot of characters which was a bit confusing (though I’m not sure if this was because I listened to it as an audiobook). It was a good easy read though!

I felt so immersed in this story and loved the characters, even though many had questionable choices and morals. I especially liked Boris and Hobie. I didn’t think I’d enjoy this book as much as I did. Docks a star for it being rather too long.
