This read is for Elena! :) Jane Austen just slays… so intelligent, such a way with words, such a feminist, through her characters. Really enjoying this so far. Elizabeth is a monster. Also, Austen refers to a broken-up engagement as a “rupture” - new break-up synonym unlocked: “…in one visit to Bath soon after the rupture.” Slay.

It feels like I am gonna cry SO BAD, & I don’t know the full reason why… but the pieces are starting to come together.

Backman articulates grief and loss so well - it’s extremely comforting. “In the end the eyes we wake up next to and the horizon outside our window are the same thing: home.”

This is nearing Daisy Jones territory for me, & Lessons in Chemistry territory… Oh my. Read the first 303 pages in one sitting.
