I started reading this last night before bed. Within the first few pages I was already captivated. It’s hard for a book to do that for me. Although the writing style isn’t my favorite, I think I’m going to enjoy this.

I just finished De Daumier-Smith’s Blue Period. It was great. It had quite a sad ending, but the story overall was quite enjoyable.

I read Down at the Dinghy and For Esmé—with Love and Squalor. I liked both, although they were a bit sadder.

I just finished The Laughing Man. It was definitely an interesting one. It felt like a story within a story which I liked.

I just finished Just Before the War with the Eskimos. I liked it since it felt like a conversational story.

I’ve just finished the first chapter, and although it’s a bit more heavy than the usual reading I do, I’m enjoying it so far.

I just finished the second story, “Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut”, and it was more sad than the last one. It starts out with two friends reconnecting and a girl with an imaginary friend. It ends on a sad note, but it was good anyway.

I just finished the second story, “Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut” and it was more of an emotional one. It started out very light with two friends catching up and ended on a sadder note. It was good though.
