When this book was everywhere I started it and the first chapter made me dnf it immediately, thinking I wasn't in the mood for a cheesy purple book but now, I'm feeling quite lost and in need of comfort and it feels like the warmest hug I've received in a while : I just love it when books find you. I believe that some books are made for a precise moment in your life and when it comes they find you.

You know how mmc usually barely laugh in the whole book? I used to roll eyes but frankly I'd this man laughs one more time at another of her not even funny jokes I'm dnfing this shit

This is literally a hallmark movie in book form but unfortunately in a bad way.
I don't know what it is with books I've been reading lately but they're slowly turning me unto a hater

I wanted it to be good so bad but why do the characters act like stereotypes of themselves, the banters are not bantering and the plot is boring... I'm holding on for dear life here please make it better

Guys, she changed her skinny jeans and v neck red shirt to an oversized hoodie with leggings and yet the mmc keeps staring at her. 2015s we are SO BACK. This is SO reminiscent of the good old days, the mortal instruments, onyx, the lunar chronicles, twilight prime is back

If there's one thing that I find hilarious in fantasy is how the mmc is always described as immoral, cruel, terrifying, focused, undefeatable beast and yet he meets the fmc and is like "yeah I'm going to drop everything for this" I mean you're telling me Darien is the most feared dude in the city and he sees an innocent baddie and is like "what would it be like to be unemployed 🤩" (I'm eating this shit up)

Sometimes i forget they are only fifteen years old which explains why the main character here acts like a fucking imbecile, I mean leaving the girl you "love" in a random place while she's probably suffering from a sepsis to stop people from fighting when it's literally the point of the game ?????? And he's gonna act surprise that somebody arrives and finds the poor girl

I was so excited to start this because apparently it's amazing, but I don't understand anything ??? Like there are literally sentences where I don't have a clue what they're talking about ? I hope it gets better

I usually roll my eyes when the mmc seems obsessed with mc for seemingly no reason than the invisible magical strung pulling them together (which often is just lust sadly) but here I must say I'm just as obsessed with Glen as xander is : I want my shayla to have anything she wants 🙏
