Honestly the perfect kind of book to listen to

Immediately unrelenting and gripping

I hate the waiting game that this book is making me play. So, I spoiled the reveal for myself (just by looking through the rest of the chapter) and I honestly expected it to be more. I am still looking forward to continuing on but I really just needed this MC to discover something.

I have my suspicions about Arthur. I also refuse to believe it’s a coincidence that he is named arthur and lucy is the son of a human and the devil (Merlin’s origin story) it’s like reverse Arthurian legend but I don’t know if it was intentional.

I keep being left unsupervised at work without instructions on what to do. This has nothing to do with the book but I wanted to speak into a void and goodreads is today’s chosen void.

Suicide attempt and three year gap was not the turn I was anticipating but we’ll see how this goes

Marriage is hell and if my husband ever did what these husbands did to their wives I would literally take the kids and leave that night. It is so insanely disturbing to see a husband convince everyone in their community that his wife is crazy. RATS ATE YOUR MOTHER. And you think it’s unreasonable that a mysterious wealthy man could be hurting children. Kill everyone.

I’ve never really been interested in reading books like this one but it’s fun so far

This is going to be a slow read but it’s going to be an enjoyable slow read

Really hard to listen to a romance book where one of the main characters has the same name as you tbh

Breaking for lacrosse game I need this done by 8pm

mom chapter is devastating but this guy is annoying and the narrator they chose for the audiobook makes him even more obnoxious

Distraction from school and internships 👍👍 very fun so far

Started this on Tuesday for class and am seriously jumping around so I can have it done for class I am so off the reading grind it’s a tragedy

Elektra is such a powerful story. I’ve said it so many times but I’ll say it again and again, I love Sophocles so much. He subverts the genre so well (well what we know of the genre at least) and creates such rich narratives. I’m not going to be reading the last play in this book but I’m reading a version of it by a different playwright so I’ll log it after that

Got this book from the library via a “blind date with a book” thing on Valentine’s Day and finally got around to reading some of it today. Really really good though. Crazy that it is set in the town where paige hartshorn went to private school and her school is mentioned several times

Elektra is amazing this is so good I love Sophocles so much

Started reading this last week but forgot to long it :( Agamemnon was really good and carson is a great translator. I loveeee the way Kassandra was written, what an incredible character

So tragic. Such tragedy. It’s the second story of my class about tragedies and the depressing repetition is already getting to me.

I did read the 22 pages before class so all is well

Supposed to have read 22 more pages but I am tired to doing work today! I put all of my work that was technically due today and all that is due tomorrow off all weekend so here we are! I’ll get to page 198 tomorrow before 1:10 I swear. (This is really just an affirmation for myself)
