I'm paying more attention to the story now than the unedited errors. I want to like a character or two. So far, it's slow going.

Dark, sad, sorded...I love the way Atwood thinks. "Never any paintings called Man Washing Socks in Sink.

"Romance means leaving things out: where life grunts and snuffles, romance only sighs."

Interesting premise. Parts of the plot are belabored while others seem to skip all too quickly to an unexplained conclusion. BUT, I remember this time and these feelings and the wild personal radar that kept me out of the serious trouble portrayed here in. I'm going to finish and hope to approve of the resolutions.
