Finally managed to start listening and lordddd (the irony lmao) have we found ourselves in a fever dream again. While I like the prose so far there were a few sentences that def gave off pretentious vibes. Curious as to what exactly we will see happen

Oh ffs pls tell me that the happy ending won't be romance focussed when the rest of the book barely contained any romance at all. I'm not counting a barely there and baddly supported LDR and a fucking breakup

I know we had the vague rape before but this quite explicit rape attempt I did not see coming wtf

I was expecting lesbians but instead we get the worst LDR ever w 0 romance let alone chemistry, and now a dude that gets 3 times the amount of time on page. & Jess mentioned before halfway that it's good she can't be attracted to him but now it's "she def isn't straight but she's not gay either"??? + the whole fake dating as cover up while we have heard her (ex???)if speak no more than 50 words.. insane

Also is this a good moment to mention that before the show i tried to listen to the audiobook like thrice and lowkey dnf'ed bc i didn't vibe w the narrator and didn't expect the depth to come at all. But knowing what's to come makes this so much better. Apparently a book of which I needed to know the end to enjoy the road there. Also need hudcon to narrate the audiobook @ everyone i am BEGGING you

Its very stupid but im reading so slowly bc im not ready for the pain and also bc I just dont want it to end 🥲🥲🥲 the fact that for most scenes i can see the show play in my mind, or sometimes reference to fics I've loved.... afraid these two have become very important to me very fast 😭
